John Hayduk (b. 1987) is an American artist from Connecticut. After spending eight years living in Santa Fe, NM, he has returned to Connecticut to continue his practice. His work is focused in oil painting: John starts his landscape work en plein air and uses these studies to create studio paintings that focus on the quiet peacefulness of the natural world. He also works figuratively, with work focused on the fleeting nature of life and how that knowledge shapes our experiences. He is classically trained in realism, having studied at the Academy of Realist Art in Boston, MA, and The Ryder Studio in Santa Fe, NM.
